I made him cry

Have you ever had an eight year old as a friend? I bet you did when you are eight or nine years old. But would you have one when you are twenty four? Most probably you won't but I definitely do. He is the most adorable and yet naughty eight year old I know. He loves distrubing me by stepping on my foot and tickling me. With him around my mother would say, "You know I have not only one eight year old monkey but also a big ape who is 24 years old" I love teasing that eight year old of mine. But today I did something wrong

I made him cry. He threw his tantrum at me.

Nothing new but the usual teasing except I think this time I told him I don't friend him. His face changed. The hurt was seen in his eyes and temper flew. He kept quiet and refused to listen to my mother. My mother blames me for starting it all. But I know the next time he comes for lesson if I start playing with him he will go back to his normal self. That is the beauty of being a kid. You forget and go on living.

But that makes me wonder how come when we are adults we actual forget that simple rule? When there is a misunderstanding why can't we just forget about it and move on? Why can't people just apology and come together again? Why can't the other accept an apology from the other party and move on? Why do we make our own lives more complicated than it seems? Why this stupid game? I suppose that's what happens when we lose our neurons and those that are already there get strengthen. Sometimes I wish we can get past that adult stage and be a child again. I think the term childish should not be called childish when the most incomprehensible and stubborn behavior is done by adults. SO STOP GROWING UP
